Program Objectives
Increase Awareness: Introduce participants to diverse career pathways in the utility and infrastructure trades.
Build Core Skills: Provide hands-on instruction in safety, tool use, measurement, and system fundamentals.
Develop Workforce Readiness: Strengthen employability skills such as communication, professionalism, and problem-solving.
Promote Gender Equity: Create an empowering learning environment that encourages young women to enter nontraditional fields.
Connect to Apprenticeships: Prepare graduates for direct entry or advanced standing in registered apprenticeship programs.
Participant Requirements
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria as of January 31, 2026:
Be between the ages of 14 - 19
Be in grades 9 - 12
Have a GPA of 2.0 or Higher
Be a resident of 32206, 32208, or 32209
